Welcome to the Zug International Women's Club

Zug International Women’s Club was started in 1967 by two Englishwomen, who instigated a regular coffee morning with a view to meeting other English-speaking women living in the Zug area. Now in its 45th year, the Club has grown to be a thriving organisation comprising more than 450 members and representing over 75 nationalities.

The Club is a non-political, non-religious and non-profit organisation. Its primary aim is to provide a point of contact for social interaction, and to offer support, friendship and information to newcomers to Switzerland and the area.

The Club is run by a board of ten and three coordinators, as well as several committees that organise numerous regular activities, seasonal parties, monthly contact coffees and special projects. The official language of ZIWC is English, but the diverse nationalities and backgrounds of our members bring a cosmopolitan vitality and colour to all our gatherings.
